Daniel and Teressa Pierce attended a Grace Brethren Church in Clayton, Ohio while Daniel was employed at the Dayton Airport. Later, the Pierces moved back to North Carolina and Daniel pursued full-time ministry. When the pastor in Clayton felt a call to plant a church in the Greenville area, Daniel was the first person that came to mind.
Daniel and Teressa (along with their two boys) moved back to Ohio in 1998. The church began as some small group meetings that quickly took off. They had their first public service Palm Sunday of 1999.
Originally, the Church met at the Greenville Inn. Before long, they moved to a facility that they could use all week, but quickly outgrew it. The church used a building on Fair Street for a few years until their own building was completed January 1, 2006.
Though the church has changed locations four times, and has added three other full-time staff, it continues in its pursuit to bring love, life and light to Darke County and the world.
