Announcements for March 22nd

The information that follows is meant to serve any and all that are ‘formally’ or ‘informally’ a part of the family of  Greenville Grace Church. If this is applicable to you, read on! If you’ve found us by ‘mistake’, please, read on, but also know that we’d like to take this opportunity to invite you visit us! We hold 2 services each Sunday at 9 and 11am at 4805 SR 49 S, Greenville, OH. We would love to get to know you!

GOSPEL AT WORK  |  Men and young men of Grace: Many Christians fall victim to one of two main problems when  it comes to our jobs. Either they are idle in their work or they have made an idol of their work.  Whatever work you do,  these two mind-sets are deadly misunderstandings of how God intends for us to think about our work.  Join us at Men’s Training for a four week series starting March 23. Together we will unpack the powerful ways that the gospel can transform how we do our jobs.

COMMUNION |  If you know Christ as your savior, we invite you to join us on April 3rd (Good Friday) @ 6:30 for a communion service. We would love to celebrate the Lord’s death, burial, and resurrection with you, and hope you will take advantage of the  blessing to joining us.  NOTE: The format of this communion will be somewhat different as a Carry in meal will replace the “normal” love feast. Those with last names beginning with A-L, please bring a hot dish & small dessert, M-Z bring a hot side dish and small salad. (Childcare will be available.)

SPRING WORK DAY | On May 2 [starting at 8am], the Grace Building and Grounds team will be hosting a spring workday here at the church. The church family use the building pretty hard [which is great] and that use makes a seasonal day of just cleaning and organizing very necessary [and useful]! There will be projects that the whole family can join in on, so plan on bringing the kids and a picnic lunch. Keep a watch on the bulletin for more details as we get closer…but until then…save the date!

MOWING HELP NEEDED | The Grace Building and Grounds team is once again looking for volunteers to mow the church lawn this spring and summer. If you have a large mower and a way to transport it, visit the welcome center and sign up for a week! If you don’t have a large mower and would like to sponsor a week’s mowing ($75) there is a signup for that as well.

GRACE MOM’S CLOTHING EXCHANGE  | On April 18th from 9:00-11:30a Grace Mom’s will be having their annual clothing exchange. If you have any children’s clothes size newborn to 10, maternity clothes, or baby gear (you no longer want or need and do not want them back) please bring them to the clothing exchange. Come sort out what you brought or let us sort it out for you the night before and take some items your family may be needing. You do not need to bring anything to take something. All items left will be donated. We are also having brunch, so bring your favorite brunch item to share. Questions? Contact Kellie Eikenberry 937.621.2057 or Rachel Wooten 937.692.5301.

Long Story Short  | This week’s lesson: Week 45 (Peter and the Prophet Joel). Your Children’s Church teacher will spend time working through the basic storyline of this week’s lesson. The lessons in Old Story New (the book all of our classes use) are broken into 5 days to help facilitate a consistent, Gospel-centered family devotion time in your home. Copies of the book are available at the Welcome Center or by contacting the church office @ 937.547.0065.
