PORTERBROOK | Join us for our next discussion! The October topic is The Holy Spirit. We will be meeting to discuss the unit Saturday, October 12 @ 7am in the back big classroom at the church. Childcare will be available. BLOOD DRIVE | TOMORROW, Monday, September 23rd we will be hosting a blood drive. To schedule your donation time go to www.donortime.com. Please see the sign up at the Welcome Center for food & juice donations for the blood drive.

PLANNING CENTER TRAINING | Are you serving at Grace & still trying to navigate Planning Center? Are you new to serving at Grace and want to learn how to use Planning Center? We are doing a training to get you acquainted with our system and how you can make it work for you. Training will be on October 13 & 20 at 10:35 in the big back classroom. Training will only be in between services so you won’t miss any of Danny’s sermon. If you can let the office know that you are planning to be there that would be great. GRACE MOMS | Mom of kids ages 6 & under? Want to connect with other moms in the area? Need a break from your kids to learn more about Jesus? Come join our Grace Moms group that meets the first Wednesday morning of every month. Their next meeting is Wednesday, October 2 at 9:30a. The next topic: What I wish my younger self knew about: Scripture. COMMUNION | Our next Communion date is November 17th @ 6pm. If you know Christ as your Savior, plan to join us as we celebrate the death and resurrection of our Savior. Childcare will be provided.

MARRIAGE WEEKEND | REGISTER NOW!!! On January 10-12, 2020, we will be hosting Dave Harvey (author of “When Sinners Say I Do”) for a marriage weekend. Dave will be sharing during a couple sessions on Saturday as well as preaching on Sunday morning. We believe this will be highly beneficial to you and your spouse. SUMMER 2019 FINANCE UPDATE | YTD August 31,2019 General Fund giving is $255,026 which is $24,278 (8%) under budget. The expenses are $244,195 which is $16,487 (6.3%) under budget, resulting in an excess of $10,831 in revenue over expenses. With the General Fund giving below budget we have cautiously retained the General Fund excess and made no transfers to the Generosity Fund in 2019. If anyone has questions and/or comments please feel free to forward those to the office or speak to any of the following finance team members: Linda Fourman, Mike Gallagher, Katie McKee, Kent Powell, or Monty Stump.

LONG STORY SHORT | This week’s lesson: Lesson 13 (Isaac and Ishmael) Your child’s Children’s Church teacher will spend time working through the basic storyline of this week’s lesson. The lessons in Long Story Short (the book all of our classes use) are broken into 5 days to help facilitate a consistent, Gospel-centered family devotion time in your home. Copies of the book are available at the Welcome Center or by contacting the church office @ 937.547.0065.
