Deacons

Our deacon ministry was started in 2013 and we’ve seen the Lord working faithfully in it.  Our deacons are not responsible to lead or teach for the church (that is the role of an elder).  Their calling is to serve faithfully in areas of ministry oversight.  Most deacons are servants-at-heart, and their temptation can be to do all of the work on their own.  It’s been a blessing to watch our deacons equip and enable others to use their gifts to serve the body.

Gregg Dyke

Deacon: Hospitality

Gregg’s area of oversight is hospitality specifically in the area of making the facility flow well, be inviting, and stay aesthetically consistent. He does a super job!

"Grace Church has allowed me to take my passion for home improvement and and use it to serve the church body. I enjoy trying to give the building itself a welcome home feeling. Casual seating, coffee bar and the Welcome Center area along with proper signage throughout the building are just a few of those examples. Through various construction and painting projects at the church, we as a team have been able try to accomplish that. I really appreciate the freedom that the Elders of our church have given me. Typically one of the elders comes to me with a project in mind. i then assess whether i can accomplish it myself, contact someone with expertise in that field, or assemble the proper team to accomplish the task. Thank you for allowing me to serve."
