Pastor Marshall Gipe of Greenville Grace Church moderates a panel composed of Dr. Nilsen, Pastor Matt Strader (Greenville Grace) and Pastor Chris Cobb (Bible Fellowship), leading the panel through various questions and reflections arising from the conference material.
Messages from the “Living Words” conference
The seed of the serpent has always hated the seed of the woman. Dr. Nilsen takes a tour of persection on the European, South American, African, and Asian continents during the 20th century. The statistics are sobering. He concludes the conference by considering this question: what difference can you make?
Faithfulness to the Word of God had a bloody price indeed. Dr. Nilsen traces the martyrs of the Church age from the early Jewish and Roman persecutions through the persecution of the Moravians in the mid-1700’s. Dr. Bob shows what just one local church can accomplish, as he tracks the missionary efforts of the Church in Herrnhut.
Dr. Nilsen traces the history of the Bible from the earliest days of the church through the Dark Ages, and into the reformation. He recounts the spreading of Reformation fires throughout Europe, and follows the effects of the Reformation into America.
Dr. Bob Nilsen does a rapid survey of Old Testament salvation history, centered around God’s communication to man. Dr. Nilsen explains how the scroll of the Law was lost in the days of Manasseh and Amon, and then rediscovered in the temple by Josiah. He demonstrates how much of a difference individuals and single families can make in God’s plan.
