ELEVATE POSTAL SERVICE | It’s that time of year again! Elevate Student Ministries will be collecting Christmas cards for people in the body here at Grace through Dec. 14 to help you save on postage. Please drop your Christmas cards off at the table in the Narthex along with a suggested $5.00 donation. Christmas cards will be ready on Dec 18th at the church. ELEVATE YOUTH FAMILY CHRISTMAS PARTY | All youth & their families are welcome to join us for youth on December 21 from 6:30-9 for a fun family Christmas party. We will be having dessert, a white elephant gift exchange, games, and fellowship. Questions contact Jason at jbloom@greenvillegrace.org or call the office at 937.547.0065.

CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE | We will have our Christmas Eve service on Dec. 24th at 7pm. Bring your families and join us in celebrating the birth of our Lord & Savior.

CHRISTMAS DAY & NEW YEARS DAY SERVICES | We will have one service on Christmas Day & New Years Day at 10 am. We will have nursery, but there will be no Children’s Church. Looking forward to worshiping with you on these days.
VISION NIGHT | If you call Grace your home join us on January 29th at 6p (a Sunday night) as we will be holding our annual vision night. Please plan onthis meeting! We will spend some time sharing about all things Grace….from our current financial position, and where we see encouraging things happening to where we have been praying for and seeinghere at Grace. Childcare will be provided.

FALL 2016 FINANCE UPDATE YTD | October 31, 2016 the General Fund giving is $343,526, which is $5,176 (1.5%) over budget. The expenses are $328,080, which is $10,350 (3.1%) under budget, resulting in an excess of $15,446 in revenue over expenses. As a result of significant wind damage, that was likely to repeat, a decision was made to make a substantial investment in a metal roof for the front section of the building. The cost, after the insurance settlement, is $29K and sufficient funds from the General and Designated Funds have been set aside to cover these costs. If anyone has any questions and/or comments please feel free to forward those to the office or speak to any of the following finance team members: Linda Fourman, Mike Gallagher, Katie McKee, Kent Powell or Monty Stump.

LONG STORY SHORT | This week’s lesson: Advent week 3 of 4. The Advent lessons are stand alone lessons. Spend these weeks interacting with your children about what they have learned in Children’s Church. The lessons in Long Story Short (the book all of our classes use) are broken into 5 days to help facilitate a consistent, Gospel-centered family devotion time in your home. Copies of the book are available at the Welcome Center or by contacting the church office @ 937.547.0065.

MEN’S TRAINING  |  Men of the Word Study- Men. The Men of the Word series is meant to help men know how to study specific parts of the scriptures and provides an environment for us to study together. Please join us tomorrow, May 2 from 7-8:15p for a study in understanding New Testament prophecy and a look at Revelation 16.

MOTHER/DAUGHTER BRUNCH  | Are you a mother or a daughter or both?  Join the ladies of Grace on Saturday May 14th at 9:30 for their Mother/Daughter brunch! Bring yourself, your mother, your daughter, or all the above along with your favorite brunch food. Sign up at the Welcome Center by next Sunday, May 8th.

Lehman Adopton celebration   | Join us for prayer, fellowship, and ice cream sundaes as we encourage the Lehman family in their upcoming adoption on Saturday, May 21 @ 6:00 at Grace. Questions? Contact Jodi Bradshaw at 937-621-0286. All are welcome. This is not a fundraiser, just a time for fellowship and prayer.

MOWING HELP NEEDED | The Grace Building and Grounds team is once again looking for volunteers to mow the church lawn this spring and summer. If you have a large mower and a way to transport it, visit the welcome center and sign up for a week! If you don’t have a large mower and would like to sponsor a week’s mowing ($75) there is a signup for that as well. Visit the Welcome Center for details!

QUARTERLY FINANCE UPDATE   | SPRING 2016 FINANCE UPDATE:  YTD March 31, 2016 the General Fund giving is $111,389, which is $9,884 (9.7%) over budget. The expenses are $106,087, which is $4,561 (4.5%) over budget, resulting in an excess of $5,302 in revenue over expenses. Our mortgage debt, which began at $750,000 in 2006, is now $14,459. We have retired $38,701 of mortgage debt in 2016 and if we are able to maintain the current rate of principal reduction, the mortgage will be paid off in MAY 2016!!!
